Why is this virtual felting camp more than just a workshop?

Can you remember what fun it is to MEET so many different felters? The great aha-moments while swapping felting ideas and experiences. Asking the tutors directly, seeing what a fantastic range of felts grow from the same class…TALKING & LISTENING to each other, LOOKING in each other’s EYES and seeing each other’s SMILES. Asking „Hey, how did you sleep?” or „Did you see that funny teal frog yesterday?!?”.
Live CONNECTIONs with HOLDING hands and HUGs and lots of LAUGHTER.

This is what is waiting for you in the world’s 1st virtual felting camp where English speaking felters and fantastic tutors will meet from all over the world. Nearly the same as we could touch each other.
Impossible?
NO! We have already done it last year in German language. It rocked! We’ve buried COVID for a long, cheerful week with more than 300 attendees.

Bring your soap and let’s clear away separation!

– You will be in live contact with all the tutors and fiber friends in different ways. Choose which fits the best for you or your daily routine: webinar, zoom, forum. You can also attend all of them to use all possibilities. We will see and hear each other instead of writing some topics in a facebook group.

– Be part of the opening ceremony with the virtual felt exhibition of the tutors. They will also unveil exciting things about the artifacts and answer visitor’s questions live.

– No matter if you cannot come to all live events, you will be able to open the classes online in your free time or watch them as downloads offline.

– Bring your new felts to the virtual  finissage or just see other’s work.

– Come to the bonus programs on the days of rest.

– You can have fun in the forum (independent from social media) if you prefer written posts.

We don’t let you stand alone in your heap of wool fibers!

Pre-registrate for this event not to miss the detailed program and our special offer and to be promptly informed about colourful news coming from the tutors in the upcoming weeks.
We will also send you a thank you gift to your mailbox.

Testimonials about the German Virtual Felting Camp

"We were away from reality, didn’t have to worry about what’s in the news. I had to ground myself (or get back into the swing of real life) afterwards, just like coming home from a wonderful vacation."
Dagmar Lange
Germany
"No, I’m not making any hand puppets! That’s what I thought to myself, but it turned out completely different than I thought. We had so much fun and laughter in this class, and we were able let our imagination flow.
Lucky Brogli
Switzerland
"To be able to interact and see and hear other people during these Corona-times is extremely valuable. The class is for “technique, ideas and inspiration"
Mieke de Bruijne
Belgium

Felt jewelry with pebble inlay

Anikó Boros

With Aniko we felt an exquisite brooch and a ring with a pebble inlay. You can use shells, glass, kernels or ceramic at the centre Exquisite jewellery in every way.

Use your own little treasures like a special stone, little pieces of ceramic, a piece from grandmas teacups and built into your jewelry. Even if you don’t wear felted jewelry you will learn special techniques of the built up and construction of felted vessels, the inlay of special pieces and the delicate add on of a very fine ring. These techniques can be used on other felted objects.

"I absolutely loved seeing other felters work along side me. It was great seeing all the different finished projects and even though we were all following along with the same instructions, no two pieces were alike. Taking a break in between projects was a wonderful way to relax and create new relationships with people around the world that share my hobby. Corinna did a wonderful job of taking care of us and answered all of our questions during class. And the extra programs she had planned for us were right on the spot. I can’t wait for the next Virtual Camp - without it I would not have been able to participate from the USA. Thank you! "

Delicate leaf patterned felt shawl

Nadia Szabó

Stunning shaded leaf print patterns in an endless variety of colour combinations. This botanical print technique combines the organic forms of leafs with the matt or shimmering surface of lightweight felt.

The finished objects could be monochrom or multicoloured and often gives you surprising results. Click on the pics.

Eva Zehndorfer

" It was perfect for me: I was able to combine family, work and hobby under one project. I was allowed to express my own personal freedom while I work. I highly appreciated the download of all the projects. A great big thank you to all the participants - it was just perfect!."
Margarete B. Hoffmann

Checked felt orbs

Gabriella Kovács

You haven’t seen felted balls to play with such surface patterns.

At first the technique seems to be easy but if you look closer at the work and if you follow the colourful trapezium shapes the work will get more and more confusing. Dig into this mystery with Gabi.

Funny hand puppets & oven gloves

Bea Németh

Let’s wake up Noah’s ark with puppet-ovenglove-therapy-creatures which have their own characters. Is dad upset, point the cow or a trumpet creature at him and let them talk and tell what’s up. Has a snail ever rescued your felted finger from burning hot trays? If not it’s about time they do!

Laughter guaranteed to get you out of hot topics with these critters.
Before we start felting we find out the main characteristics of the chosen animals.
You felt with simple and with 3D templates. Important details will be discovered and felted in.

"I enjoyed the online CorNit Filztreff because it is amazing to learn in this way. I found that I would go back to something that I wanted to absorb more. I love that I can go at my own pace. Read the lessons and watch videos multiple times. It is great for me that I can access the course even after the Filztreff."

Felt Houses

Gabriella Kovács

Gabi introduces us to the wonderful world of felting of houses, out of which you can create wonderful teapot warmers or Christmas led light houses. Just depends on the size!

She shows us how to create the fine details of the facade. You will learn exciting felting techniques with prefelt. We will felt a house in a day. You can think of doing a double one at home.
