Her exciting presentation will focus on spiritual awareness of materials, especially wool, in your space and life. Kata has been living for years in Japan and Portugal. You hear about the oriental empathy for transcendent material qualities.

Judit Venczelné Danyi will present you wonderful wooden felting tools made of different types of woods. Most of them were developed for Judit’s needs during her own felting journeys. So she’ll open your eyes with recommendations what type you can use for what kind of shaping and fulling.
In addition to her experience feel free to bring your own problems and ask her for suggestions if you already wondered how to get you felt piece dense in tricky corners or how to shape it as wished.

– As a basis, bring old, unsuccessful, moth-eaten or similar felt works, scraps, samples to the course or felt a few with pieces of fabric or textures. These will be transformed into very valuable and beautiful cases or bags. You wouldn’t recognize them!
– Overdying works wonders. Learn how to conjure up great colour transitions, because with this technique you can also save on buying a lot of wool of different colors if you wanted to felt colour transitions.
– Bea will show you various special cutting and folding patterns that you can use to give those old things a great shape.
– You will gain 3 ancient embroidery methods that not only create beautiful decorative lines but are also used to join separate felt pieces together, creating wonderful details for customized felt clothing and, in a slightly different way, are also wonderful for decorating neglected felt edges. – Make different bowl shapes with the same resist. You can plan in advance but it gets more exciting if you don’t have a concept in your mind and let the best shape and surface pattern turn out while sculpting.
– The tricky double-wall technique opens a new universe while trying to find the final shape. It will remind you of working with clay.
– You’ll achieve a uniform and strong edge on the bowls.
